Dear Colleagues:



We are pleased to inform you that the Executive Committee of COMPRES has voted unanimously to hold our 2012 Annual Meeting at the Granlibakken Lodge ,  Tahoe City, CA. in conjuction with the High-Pressure Mineral Physics Seminar-8 (HPMPS-8).

The Lodge and Conference facilities are near the shores of Lake Tahoe, California and Nevada, USA. There will be opportunities for sight-seeing, and geologic excursions as part of the meeting.

Short Schedule

  • Monday , July 9: Arrival and reception plus dinner. No formal sessions.
  • Tuesday, July 10: Formal sessions with Keynotes in morning and afternoon. Poster session late afternoon.
  • Wednesday, July 11: Formal sessions in morning. Facilities overviews in afternoon, with poster session in late afternoon and evening.
  • Thursday, July 12: Formal sessions in morning, COMPRES infrastructure and business in early afternoon.
      Banquet with Keynote in evening.
  • Friday, July 13: Formal sessions in Morning. Optional field trip to Smartville Ophiolite with sack lunch - return early evening.
